Biography![]() Elisabetta Diamanti Participating at a biennial course on research and experiment engravings at the “Istituto Nazionale di Grafica (National Institute of Graphic Art), from 1981 to 1983 she becomes a specialist in the “bulino” course held by J. P. Velly. She attends the Worksession of copperplate engravings at the Centrum voor grafick Frans Masareel Kasterlee (Belgium). From 1996 to 2002 she teaches engravings and printings at the “Arti Ornamentali” public school of Rome and in 1997 she becomes Professor of Engravings at the “Accademia di Belle Arti” in Viterbo. In April 1998 and in Spring 1999 she is responsible for a workshop on engravings at the “Ecole Régional de Beaux Arts de Nantes” ("Writing as a memory for the human mankind") and at Bilbao’s University ("frottage, analyses and specific applications on stone and metal copperplate”). | In June 2000 she holds a seminary in Granada University on “Cosmatesque floors in the inferior abbey of Saint Elias’s Caste in the Tuscia”, in August 2004 she participates at the “Atelier Collectif” of the International City of Arts in Paris. BNL (Banca Nazionale del Lavoro), has chosen and purchased the drawplate and the print run of the work “Trame entomologiche 5” printed at “Il Bulino” in Rome in 1999, where also the series of the “Il Mezzo della Memoria” were edited. In 2005 she has printed a portfolio containing an engraving on “Strutture Vegetali” (Plant Structures) for the Swiss Publishing House “Il Salice" in Locarno. in 2006 she present "Isolasolasola" with a haiku of Tommaso Ottonieri for the "Agave Edizioni" T Publishing House. In march 2007
the Publishing House "Il Salice" in
Locarno present an edition of "Orphee" with two
engravings and an extract of Michel Seupher. Her experience has also ranged over artistic ceramics by attending a course on Raku from Prof. Emidio Galassi in Faenza. From 1995 she organizes workshops on Raku ceramics and engravings at her Study. Her ceramics are collected in Marsciano Ceramic Museum (Perugia) and in numerous private collections in Italy and abroad. |
